In my almost two years of porn site reviewing, I think this is actually the first time that I've come across a made-expressly-for women site that offers porn, though not in any way that will degrade women but actually glorify their sexuality. In fact, viewing some of the sample vids might remind one of cinematic lovemaking scenes with the tenderness so evident in them. It's pretty exciting, actually. And I think it would be criminal not to thoroughly investigate the monochromatic purple tour page lay-out of For The Girls; not when it's brimming over with links, text info, testimonies, and preview pics and thumbs for unapologetically straight women with a healthy sex drive.

Both the lay-out and initial overall impression actually reminded me of the riot grrrrl zines that came out in the early 90s, with current feature articles on circumcision, "aural" sex audio stories, some true confessions, erotic stories, etc. This e-zine, however, has the added cachet of a sexy centerfold featuring the choice beefcake of the week!

So Sapphic sisters, this ain't your digs. There are more wieners here than in the corner deli any given day, and the members' testimonies gush with unabashed women enjoying the erotic treats. "MS", for instance, goes as far as saying "this isn't really a porn site. It's a sensual, fun, informative, erotic, adult site."; while "CD" recommends For The Girls as "a must have on any girls computer". (That's definitely calling a ho a ho, and a spade a shiny blunt instrument that digs deep into the core of earthiness, doesn't it?) If the tour page can't seem to emphasize enough that For The Girls' contents are tailor-made for straight women's enjoyment, once you step into the members' area, the point will be driven home a lot deeper. There's a very organized lay out for all the features, articles, advice, reviews, fiction, columns, even shopping! The "visuals" are grouped into centerfolds, hunks, amateurs, couples, videos, movies, and DVD library. Even a non-girly girl like me got bedazzled and bewildered as to which goods to sample first, spoiled as my porn taste buds have been to being dictated by most misogynistic sites.

Still, if there's a little bit of "traditional" pornie in you that considers a paysite good if it has great movies and pictures to offer, we can tackle the photo galleries first. I clicked on the Centerfolds gallery and was presented with a head shot index of some of the most gorgeous chunky hunkies I've laid eyes on in a while. Clicking on a thumbnail will bring you to the featured centerfold's bio and a link to his picture sets. There are also available sets for more hunks that didn't quite make the centerfold cut (but are hunks that merit a go-see, nonetheless), as well as some amateurs and couples photos. As for videos, there are currently 4 Candida Royale feature movie sets "made specially for women" which are classified into couples, masturbation, strip search, and male strippers. In particular, the couples' sets feature gentle foreplay and lovemaking usually between real-life couples who want to show For The Girls' members their sex lives. All have full movies for downloading and streaming, as well as WMV clips for slower connections.

Interestingly enough, For The Girls didn't totally nix the non-"female friendly" (the site's words, not mine) smut offerings. When you click on the Video link, you'll understand why. There are rows upon rows of third party feeds like Orgy World, Black Dicks, Screw My Husband, Anal Ecstasy, etc., as well as a disclaimer on top for members to "use their own discretion" when watching these.

Now that you know you won't be wanting in traditional porn fodder, maybe it's time to train your sights on the other, perhaps more unique content For The Girls proudly offers. I myself am tickled pink with articles on Animal Passions (dealing with the sex lives of animals), Multiple Personality disorders, and a humorous take on the evolution of the Barbie doll and its accompanying stereotypes. All features and articles are done in an informative, funny, happy, and almost sisterly way so as to make any member feel like she's in on some juicy sorority secrets, which is right at the core of the "girlfriend" concept.
