Wanted List is a multi-awarded mega site. They currently offer DVD rental and Video on Demand. There are over 20,000 titles on the DVD rental side. You receive the DVD by mail and return it by mail. VOD has 3,000 titles. Much of the content are exclusives from major studios. Full-length DVD-quality movies and efficient movie streaming service ("almost no buffering").
The review will focus on the video on demand side of Wanted List. I've used their DVD rental service before and I like the amount of information you can get from the site before you buy. Service is on time and discreet. From the few days I've had access on the new Video on Demand service, I can conclude that it is just as efficient in delivering streaming DVD quality movies on your PC as Wanted List's DVD rental is on delivering DVDs to your door step.
Wanted List promised many exclusive movies from major porn studios. Too bad they did not segregate the exclusive content from the non-exclusive. I would've really enjoyed watching movies that I knew only members could watch. Nonetheless, there are a lot of very god titles in the archives. You navigate using the search bar, the pull-down menu for studio search or the category links - all on the left side of home page. The titles are in rows of four at the center. You get more helpful links once you clicked on a title. First you get links to three options of viewing speeds. Below it are screen shots of all the scenes (I love this little touch because it honestly depicts what you see inside, saving you time). On the top right of these screen shots are links to the Recently Viewed title. Below the screen shots are DVD titles that other members saw after watching the chosen title. It's a lot less complicated than the way I described it, and I'd go as far as to say the entire setup is very intuitive.
Streaming the videos is even easier. You have the dial-up (384kb), medium (512kb) and high def (1024kb) speeds to choose from. Once you click one, a window will pop up and begin streaming your content. Do not choose high definition if you have a slow connection as the video will buffer constantly. If your connection speed is just right, the movie streams smoothly. Wanted List promised "virtually no buffering" and they deliver. I rarely experience a second of buffering. You can even view the window full-screen and it still plays as smooth as a peacefully flowing brook.
What can I say? It is an impressive site and they think of almost everything. They not only provide screen shots, they have nice mug shots of the performers. There is even a rating button. Even better, you get to review the DVD. Your words will appear when other members click the Review and Rating button. How cool is that?
Wanted List is a mega-site that thinks of everything. It's VOD section is superb, the most professional take on video on demand that I have ever been privileged to review. This is not your site for downloadable content. For those who prefer streaing content as long as the content are numerous and have a claim to some "exclusivity," you will be hard put finding a better adult site.
